Texas REALTORS® now provides members exclusive access to Vietnamese translations of commonly used forms for informational purposes. Only forms in English may be used as legal documents; however, Vietnamese translations can help your clients better understand concepts in the real estate forms. The following Vietnamese forms are available at xlqx.net/realtorforms.
Note: The Texas Real Estate Commission is currently revising the One to Four Family Residential Contract (Resale) (TXR 1601). A Vietnamese translation of that form will be available once those changes are finalized.

Remember that Texas REALTORS® already provides Spanish translations of these popular forms, too.
We could have used some translation forms back in the early 1980’s immediately after an exodus of Vietnamese people came to the U.S. after the war in Vietnam. Most spoke no English but they wanted housing. But then that was prior to the 10 or so page contract and we didn’t have all these addendums either. I guess better late than never, but they probably all speck English now.
I speak fluent Vietnamese and somehow the translated forms are quite painful to read but it may help many Vietnamese. The translated words need to be improved a little more so it can easier to understand in my opinion. Thanks to whoever translated the forms.
